What is it like to be “cancelled,” to be shouted down by the virulently self-righteous, and to be permitted no hearing, no defence?

J’Accuse…! (Poem Versus Silence) is an essay-in-poetry and a poignant manifesto that contemplates how terrifyingly easy it was for him to fall victim to defamation, denunciation, and “anti-social” media intimidation.

Please join us for this memorable evening… or if you are unavailable, consider supporting the author’s book: J’Accuse…! on sale till launch day (to purchase, click on title). Regular $27, now only $20 (includes taxes and shipping).

COVID protocols in place:

TRANZAC is continuing to check for proof of vaccination and continues to have a masking policy in place. We are also still at approximately 50% capacity (Main Hall maximum 75) – full policy here: https://www.tranzac.org/tranzac-is-reopening-march-1-and-update-on-covid-policy/https://www.tranzac.org/maintaining-our-covid-policy/

Tranzac has:

  • has installed high powered, very quiet HEPA Rx and carbon filters in all three rooms;
  • is requiring everyone who enters the building to show Proof of Vaccination.
  • is maintaining limited capacity at approx 50% for all three rooms until further notice;
  • is requiring the use of masks unless patrons are eating, drinking, and when at their seats;
  • is disinfecting high touch surfaces – including mics – before, between, and following each performance;
  • is providing hand sanitizer at high touch surfaces and in high traffic areas;
  • is maintaining standard bar service: patrons can purchase food and drinks at the bar, to be consumed at their seats.

Please stay home if you are not feeling well or if you have recently been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID.
